Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) Project

AfriHUB implemented a community-based empowerment initiative, VSLAs, using its own funds. The project aimed to increase access to finance, promote self-reliance, and build women's resilience and active participation in economic activities.

Key Achievements:

  • 22 VSLAs formed from 2024 to 2025 with over 600 members
  • Training provided on:
    • Financial literacy for officials and members
    • GALS methodology for 420 members and their spouses in collaboration with Bauchi LGA Empowerment Learning Center (ELC)
  • Joint monitoring and supervision conducted by AfriHUB and ELC Bauchi LGA

Impact:
